In a new take on the BlueMotion moniker Volkswagen has revealed the VW Golf Blue-e-Motion which is – you’ll never guess – an electric Golf. Quelle surprise. The Golf Blue-e-Motion is a foretaste of VW’s aims to launch the electric Golf on an unsuspecting public in 2013 and was revealed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel (who managed not to get herself in the photo-op above).
Mercedes CLC to debut as Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe? It looks like the new Mercedes CLC – a mini CLS based on the new A Class – will debut at a film and food festival in LA as the Concept Style Coupe. We know that a mini CLS based on the new Mercedes A Class is planned, and we know it’s likely to be the Mercedes CLC (or any number of other potential monikers including CLA and BLS) and will probably even spawn a CLC Shooting Brake version too.
Mercedes are harnessing the power of the Smart Phone in the 2012 A Class
The 2012 Mercedes A Class will debut at Geneva, and we have the first interior photos and news of the iPhone integration. It does look like the 2012 Mercedes A Class will be a far bigger BMW competitor than the current A Class. The Mercedes Concept A Class looked very convincing, and the spy video of the 2012 A Class with AMG body kit makes it look as though Mercedes are going to be faithful to the Concept.
